Where’s Zaha? #3 Tate Modern

Zaha Hadid took part in an architecture debate called 2012 Wishlist: What do you want for London? at Tate Modern on Saturday. The event was part of the Debate London series of discussions about how the city should use the opportunity of the Olympic Games in 2012 to change for the better. Dunes in Venice - the movie

Online architecture TV channel archiworld.tv has given us this movie showing the installation of Zaha Hadid’s Dune Formations in Venice earlier this month. The film shows the sculptural forms arriving by canal barge, being hoisted up several storeys of scaffolding and manhandled up the staircases of the Scuola dei Mercanti, where the installation was presented during the Venice art biennale by David Gill Galleries. Installation at the Serpentine Gallery

Zaha Hadid and Patrik Schumacher have designed a temporary canopy that will be built at the Serpentine Gallery in Kensington Gardens, London, this summer. The pavilion will be in place from 12 to 21 July 2007 and will serve as a venue for the gallery’s famous summer party and other events. More information over on dezeen.

Where’s Zaha? #2 Basel

Zaha Hadid was in Basel, Switzerland last week, where a number of her furniture designs were exhibited at the Design Miami/Basel collectors’ fair. In fact, she probably had more work at the show than any other living designer.
