Exhibition highlights: Louis Vuitton Icone bag, 2006

Here is the first of our selection of highlights from the exhibition - or at least the top floor of the exhibition, since the first floor is a bit dark for photos without pro equipment.

The Louis Vuitton Icone bag is made of moulded plastic and comes with its own stand and two stools.

The fashion accessories brand commissioned the piece last year as part of a project called Icons, which invited nine leading creatives to design a bag.

Besides Zaha Hadid, the artists, designers and architects included James Turrell, Andrée Putman and Shigeru Ban.

The products were exhibited at the Espace Louis Vuitton gallery on the Champs Elysees in Paris from September to December 2006.

    kl.. lyke some of ya picz but some pics and dat get a better camera man !
    plus dis ting is alittle borin for kids …so make it interesting or u’ll less costemers (olni helpin u)

    to make it more child friendly i personally think the pieces should be touched and sat on =] its not like we are dirty

    I especially enjoyed the toilet rolls. They were very useful and a very nice colour. The gothic architecture was very pleasing. Joshua Third liked the seats….

    The stuff i saw was sik blud. everything i saw i liked and wanted to take home but gd nt afford it if yua get mr bruv. anyways hit me back with some comments drop some beats back to me and i will hola at ya..

    I am intrigued by the Louis Vuitton bag, practicality aside it’s beautiful…but the discription labels is as moulded plastic….some-how i fail to see how the 3D protruding items could be moulded, and that they are much more likely to be made using a stereo-lithography machine. That aside, an amazing gallery and thoroughly inspiring.
