Zaha Hadid to design the civil courts of justice in Madrid
Nov 7th, 2007The building will become a significant focal point in the masterplan for the city’s Campus de la Justicia area.
The buildings envelope will contain a double-ventilated façade with the exterior layer of the façade made up of metallic panels which respond to environmental and program conditions. The panels are able to move from open to closed and from flat to extended whilst incorporating photovoltaic cells.
The Inside comprises of a spiralling semi-circular atrium that develops around a public courtyard. The courtyard will serve as an instant focal point for the public with the atrium overlooking it.
Visitors will be able to move around the building’s courtyard as it extends to the lower ground floor, providing natural light to enter the court rooms at that level.

It looks like futuristic building but really impressive and unusual. I believe it will be the great place of interest in the city.
