Where’s Zaha? #2 Basel
Jun 18th, 2007
Zaha Hadid was in Basel, Switzerland last week, where a number of her furniture designs were exhibited at the Design Miami/Basel collectors’ fair. In fact, she probably had more work at the show than any other living designer.

Zaha visited the show on Wednesday, chatting to clients including Kenny Schachter of Rove Gallery (top image) and enjoying a chance encounter with Alasdhair Willis of Established & Sons (above and below).

The meeting on the Rove Gallery stand (above and below) turned into a big discussion, with Patrik Schumacher (in polo shirt) also present.

Zaha’s works on show included her Belu piece for Rove Gallery, her Crater table for David Gill Galleries (below) and Mesa, a table for Vitra that was shown at the nearby Vitra Campus.

Rove Gallery also showed a series of works in folded and cut paper by Hadid, that were previously shown at a gallery show in Zurich.
