Zaha Hadid’s mountain railway launches next month. The Nordpark Cable Railway follows Hadid’s ski jump in this tailormade landscape for her melodramatic architecture. Ripping across the Austrian Alps like a rollercoaster, Innsbruck will now be the proud owner of Europe’s first designer railway.
The Nordpark Railway continues to follow alpine tradition in keeping with the old-fashioned scenic railway. Combining everyday travel with the experience of the movements, the incredible views and the thrill of the ride.
The Nordpark Cable Railway will launch on December 1, being described as a ‘futuristic funicular with stations like sculptures carved out of ice’.
